Popis: | The time response of a semiconductor optical amplifier wavelength converter based on the ASE-XGM technique was experimentally obtained using ultra-short pump optical pulses. The results were compared with the pump & probe technique and show similar time responses. The conversion efficiency of the ASE-XGM technique was measured for different pump power levels and presented promising results. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
