| Popis: | 1. 1. Sixty-five anxious neurotic outpatients entered a four week double-blind study comparing chlorpromazine, a phenothiazine, with placebo. 2. 2. Results showed chlorpromazine to produce statistically significant improvement over placebo at treatment endpoint in somatic but not emotional manifestations of anxiety. 3. 3. The use of chlorpromazine in the treatment of severe anxiety appears to be indicated for anxious neurotic outpatients who have been found to be resistant to treatment with benzodiazepines. |
