Popis: Whether we like it or not, the plastics industry is now a truly global phenomena. Many companies in North America and Europe are looking to either manufacture in China or take advantage of rapidly expanding domestic markets in Asia. Likewise many Chinese and other Asian companies are keen to find new markets for their products around the world. In a series of two articles addressing both sides of this globalization movement, Stephen Duckworth of Euro-Asia Connect reviews some of the issues that plastics companies need to address if they want to be successful in unfamiliar markets. In this issue, he argues that Asian companies need to consider a great deal more than price if they want to be successful exporters.
