Korean-style house is an environment-friendly building and is becoming more and more recognized as a new housing culture which brings psychological and physical stability, however, it has disadvantages such as the non-standardized and complicated members and joints that require skilled builders to produce, lowering productivity and increasing the chances of trial and error during construction. So, as studies on pre-construction simulation are essential for reducing such disadvantages, a basic study was conducted by modeling the Korean-style house, the wooden structure with complicated joints using BIM tool and examining a method of producing the model with a 3D printer in order to increase the member production efficiency and enhance the constructability. |
