Popis: Numerous etiologic associations have been proposed for the development of osteonecrosis. Based upon a clinical impression that certain underlying disorders are associated with osteonecrosis in certain bone locations, a review of 208 patients treated by one physician (DWL) for symptomatic osteonecrosis between 1981 and 1987 was undertaken. Most of the patients included in this study were referred by rheumatologists from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and the Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore.
