Popis: | The chemiluminescent reactions of lophine (1a) and its p-dimethylamino derivative (1b) are reported in cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) and sodium dodecyl sulphate (SDS) micelles in comparison with homogeneous solutions. The micellar sites of solubilization of these compounds were spectroscopically found to be various regions of the micellar interior depending on the surfactant concentration. The fluorescence of 1b is greatly affected by micellar structure. Micellar profiles of light yields, decay constants and starting material consumption for the light reaction with ground state and singlet oxygen are presented. In addition, activation factors for the light emission of both compounds are reported and a mechanism for the lophine light reaction is proposed. |
