Popis: The article is devoted to the issues of surgical treatment of congenital aortic pathology. A description of treatment methods is given detailing the advantages and disadvantages of each of the described options. It is shown that the main problem is the need for subsequent re-operations during the growth of the child. The aim of the study was a long-term clinical study of a new plastic material and modification of operations with its help. The experience of using an alloplant made of cadaveric material processed according to the original method was studied. Surgical interventions were performed on 6 newborn children and 10 older children. Good results were obtained for a follow-up period of 13 years, there was no need for repeated operations.Conclusions. Biomaterial alloplant, used for the treatment of aortic coarctation, shows a convincingly good clinical result, surpassing all other types of biomaterials in terms of normal functioning; tissue tension in the area of the anastomosis suture strip, as well as other factors, according to clinical observations, can provoke a scarring process with subsequent deformation of the aortic diameter.
