Design of DC-Blocks and Bias-Tee on PCB for V-Band

Popis: | This letter presents V-band components which are manufactured in PCB technology and designed for 60-GHz center frequency. A proposed multifinger dc-block provides 30% bandwidth (BW) with an input reflection coefficient $V$ -band which is, to the best of the authors’ knowledge, the highest achieved BW of a PCB compatible dc-block in millimeter wave range. The bias-tee structures are realized by integrating an RF choke with the dc-blocks. The bias-tee with a multifinger dc-block shows 31% BW while with the modified-triangle dc-block allows for 48% BW with RF/dc isolation >20 dB. The proposed wideband designs provide a cost-effective solution, e.g., of RF components testing while shielding the respective lab equipment from dc or RF. |
