Popis:	The multicomponent assembly of dimethyl acetylenedicarboxylate, electron-deficient aldehydes, and triaryl- or trialkylphosphanes in a molar ratio of 3:1:6 gives γ-lactones bearing an α-phosphorus ylide moiety in moderate to good yields.
