Popis: Solvent extraction of manganese(II) and iron(III) from aqueous hydrochloric acid solutions by monoctyl α-anilinobenzylphosphonate dissolved in petroleum ether, CCl 4 or CHCl 3 and by monoctyl α-(2-carboxyanilino)benzylphosphonate dissolved in CHCl 3 has shown that the separation of these elements is feasible with either reagent. The composition of the metal extractable complexes has been determined and the iron complexes studied spectrophotometrically. Some iron complexes, isolated from the organic phase, have been analyzed.
