Popis: Performance analysis is a set of heterogeneous computer-aided tools that evaluate performance of a system at different levels of abstraction, complicating the performance analysis task. Through the extraction of a common object model, we seek to simplify the performance analysis task. This shared feature can be encapsulated in a design pattern. Several design patterns are identified at the system level of the performance modeling hierarchy. These provide a framework for constructing the semantics and composition properties inherent in the data modeled. The definition of design patterns for modeling such data allows commonly recurring patterns to be identified and added to the system library. These may be extended by allowing users to customize each design in a flexible and efficient manner to model the specific design at hand.
