The identification of bombykol linolenate in the haemolymph of the female silkworm pupa, Bombyx mori

Popis: We have reported previously that a pheromone which was inactivated as a protein-bound compound was present in the haemolymph of the female pupa of silkworm. In the present study, we have identified this substance as a linolenic acid ester of bombykol by using TLC, GC and capillary GC-MS. This ester was detected bound to protein in the haemolymph and was present in maximum amounts two days before emergence.
