Popis:	A series of o-alkylbenzyl alcohols was synthesised; the NMR spectra were compared with those of correspondingly substituted o-alkylphenyl cyclohexanols in order to ascertain how the o-alkyl substituents in the cyclohexanols investigated affect the shift of the hydroxyl proton.
