Popis: | Irrigation Management Service (IMS) is a program of the Bureau of Reclamation, Department of the Interior, for improving irrigation efficiency and increasing agricultural productivity. This study was made to determine if the program reduced the breeding of mosquitoes among irrigated crops and the creation of mosquito larval habitats. The data reported showed that there was reduced mosquito production among IMS orchards. However, the IMS was not found to be associated with a reduction of or with minimizing mosquito production or larval infestations in standing water habitats among alfalfa, corn, or sugar beet crops. |
