Popis: | Optical anisotropy and elevated viscosity are observed experimintally in the micron interlayers of motor oils in respect to the value and volume. These features are attributed to the structural inhomogeneity of the interlayers, namely to the organization of the subsurface epitropic liquid crystalline layers on the substrates bounding the interlayer. Such interlayers are studied in a model tribotriad with optical and rheological methods. The layer value of double refraction and thickness are assessed when the latter declines with increasing shear flow rate. The role of such additives as the surfactants is analyzed because they favor organization of the structured layer. |
