Popis: | The crystal structures of sodium 4-chloro-(E)-3phenylpropenoate monohydrate, 2Na + . 2C 9 H 6 ClO 2 − . 2H 2 O, and hexaaquamagnesium bis[4-chloro-(E)-3-phenylpropenoate], [Mg(H 2 O) 6 ] 2+ . 2C 9 H 6 ClO 2 − , are layered. They consist of hydrophilic sheets of coordinated cations which sandwich bilayers of organic anions. In addition to electrostatic forces, the structures are held together by van der Waals and hydrogen-bonding interactions |
