Popis:	Renewable sources of electricity generation, of which the most promising for the UK is wind energy, are becoming increasingly important due to concern over the environment. The purpose of this paper is to assess the performance of variable speed wind turbines for several operational strategies. Two contrasting wind turbine rotors are considered. The performance is assessed by simulation.
