Popis: | 1. 1. Unitary responses of the accessory olfactory bulb neurons to various chemical stimuli supplied to the vomeronasal mucosa were recorded extracellularly. 2. 2. Both vapor stimuli and aqueous stimuli elicited the responses. 3. 3. Several response patterns were shown, but each neuron had a tendency to respond to different stimuli with the same pattern. 4. 4. Single electrical stimulation delivered to the vomeronasal nerve caused long lasting changes in excitability of the accessory bulb neurons which resembled those caused by chemical stimuli. |
