Popis: In the context of aviation noise control, mitigation is the practice of providing noise relief to communities already affected by aviation noise. The general practice has been to focus on acoustic measures to reduce the noise impact, even though both acoustic and non-acoustic factors contribute to adverse response to noise. Since very little effort has been made to manage non-acoustic determinants of community response to noise, this section addresses only acoustic factors.
