Popis: | The formation of ice microparticles during freezing of aqueous cryoprotective solutions has been studied. The shapes and sizes of particles depend on the composition of the solution. When an aqueous cryoprotective solution is exposed during freezing to ultrasound at the frequency of 0.88 MHz and intensity of 1 W/cm2, the shapes of ice microparticles tend to change and become more rounded. In multicomponent solutions, the same ultrasonication regime is notably less efficient with regard to ice microparticle formation. |
