Popis: | A survey is presented of the theoretical status in understanding some nonlinear aspects of charged particle interactions in matter. In particular, a diagrammatic analysis of the many-body interactions between a moving particle and the electron gas is made to investigate, within the random-phase-approximation, the Barkas correction to the electronic stopping power, the nonlinear wake potential generated by swift ions in matter, and processes involved in multiple excitations of plasmons. |
