Pyrolysis-gas chromatographic/mass spectrometric behaviour of polyvinylcyclohexane and vinylcyclohexane-styrene copolymers

Popis: Pyrolysis-gas chromatography/mass spectrometry was applied to the study of the thermal decomposition of polyvinylcyclohexanes prepared by ion-coordination polymerization and cationic polymerization. It was shown that the pyrolysis products reflected the microstructures of both polymers containing 1,2- or 1,3-units. These results were used for the characterization of the distribution of diad sequences for cyclohexane-styrene copolymers with the aid of the boundary effect theory.
