Popis: | Digital Sound Broadcasting (DSB) has recently attracted attention due to its advantages over analog techniques. Unfortunately, the DSB has not been widely deployed due to inherent problems in reception, receiver cost and limited interactive applications. In this paper, a proposal based on Digital Radio Mondiale Plus (DRM) is presented. The DRM was implemented and tested using GNU Radio Companion (GRC) software with the following techniques: Layered-Division-Multiplexing (LDM) and the Low-Density Parity-Check (LDPC) channel code. These new developments arouse novel approaches for prototyping and testing. The Software-Defined Radio (SDR) provides the flexibility required for the design and development of these new digital communication systems. The results show that the proposed solution provides a asymptotic gain of 10dB with respect to current standard. |
