Popis: A model predicting ambulatory systolic blood pressure variations through corporal acceleration and heart rate measurements is developed. Its objective is to help the determination of hypotensive drugs dynamic on patients by taking into account the variations in systolic pressure due to physical activity on a 24 hours ASBP monitoring. The model designed predicts 57% of the variations of ASBP over 24 hours when the parameters are identified with a 24 hours ASBP monitoring of one patient and tested on a second monitoring from the same patient. A population model where the model parameters are expressed through their probability density among a population of young subjects, and a model using a priori information on the parameters and a few ASBP data are also evaluated. It is shown that they enable the physician to make a much better analysis of a 24 hours ASBP profile than when only the mean of ASBP over 24 hours is known, as it is the case at present time.
