Popis:	Genre systems still have certain advantages where the systematization of content and the indexing of large amounts of text are concerned. This will be shown using the example of 19th century non-fiction for children and young people. The basic question this contribution deals with is how the enormous number of works of children’s and youth literature can be segmented and systematised according to various formal and textual criteria. This structure can be seen as a good basis for the production of a research corpus for computer-aided analysis.
