Popis: The present study was aimed to larval organogenesis of Carassius auratus with respect to histological aspects. The eggs and different stages of C. auratus larvae were fixed in Bouin’s fluid. Histological studies were carried out from 1st day after fertilization (DAF) to 12th DAF on every day and 16th, 24th, 32nd, and 40th DAF. Histological studies of C. auratus egg showed embryonic disc formation, followed by neural tube and embryonic eyes on the 2nd DAF. The newly hatched larvae have well-defined eyes and a neural tube was differentiated into the brain. Subsequently, digestive system, swim bladder, gills, skin, and fins formation were studied. The ontogeny developments were divided into 5 stages. During the larval development, the first two stages have differed in their organ development. Their head was straight and free from the yolk and their body was attached to the yolk sac and gill arches which appeared between the 3rd and 5th DAF. The digestive system was straight, increased in the dorsal and the ventral part of the body on the 9th DAF. In between the 10th to 17th DAF, operculum, gill lamella, and dorsal fin were developed. The larvae fin, coiled intestine, and well-developed accessory glands were formed during 24th to 40th DAF.
