Popis: 1. Precipitation-hardening austenitic steel 9G28Yu9MVB exhibits considerable segregation microheterogeneity, which is evident in the banding of the microstructure, and the presence of δ ferrite and large clusters of alloyed carbides; the segregation nature of δ ferrite and the carbides is indicated by their position in the bands. The segregation microheterogeneity is the main reason for the substantial anisotropy in the ductility and notch touhness, of the steel. 2. Semifinished products of steel 9G28Yu9MVB differ greatly in strength and notch toughness due to the basic differences in cooling conditions after deformation. Heat treatment provides a fairly good combination of mechanical properties (in the longitudinal direction)—the properties are approximately the same for all semifinished products tested. Thus, the semifinished products should be heat treated to, ensure the same properties. 3. After quenching from 1130–1150° the strength characteristics decline somewhat and the notch toughness doubles, which is due to the δ→γ transformation and, probably, to the partial solution of carbides.
