Popis: Summary Our research findings show that the rheology of delayed-crosslinked fracturing fluids depends not only on the shear and thermal histories, but also on flow geometry, stress level, and time. These gels can flow as nonhomogeneous fluids and have an as yet unreported stress-state (phase) transformation property. These phenomena currently are not accounted for in gel testing or data scale-up but can manifest themselves in apparent test-geometry and time dependencies. This research also indicates that delayed-crosslinked fracturing fluids may give better proppant transport than expected.
