Popis: If Harry Truman read the newspapers he knew that the Jackson County Democratic Club was not a body of reformers working for the purity of the ballot. Yet he became a member of this club. Unless he has resigned since these lines were written he is still its vice-president in good standing. That the Jackson County Democratic Club is simply a high-sounding title for the Pendergast machine everybody knows.'
