Demonstration of Flexible 74.4 cm2 High Efficiency AM0 Inverted Metamorphic Three Junction Solar Cells Through Epitaxial Lift-Off

Popis: MicroLink Devices has demonstrated state-of-the-art performance-per-area for flexible, epitaxial lift-off (ELO) three junction (3J) inverted metamorphic (IMM) solar cells. Half-wafer cells with an area of 74.4 cm2 were measured to have an AM0 efficiency of 28.4% and a specific bare cell power of 2000 W/kg. These cells were manufactured using epitaxy grown on MicroLink's Aixtron reactors, epitaxial lift-off technology, and standard semiconductor fabrication processes on reusable 6-inch GaAs substrates.
