Popis: | Seismic proving test of a process computer system was carried out to investigate its dynamic characteristics and functional capability. In this test, two seismic waves were selected as design earthquakes for the process computer system. The process computer system, including magnetic disc drive, CRT displays and a printer, was shown to be able to maintain its function against earthquake acceleration of up to double the design earthquake acceleration. The magnetic disc drive was found to be the equipment having the least seismic margin. It was also confirmed that the functionalcapability of a magnetic disc drive under earthquake acceleration can be evaluated by using the offtrack response. |
