Accommodation Capacity for Wind Farm Based on the Static Security Constraints in Bulk Power Systems

Popis: Bulk power systems with wind farm will inevitably change the load flow distribution in the grid, which is detrimental to the static security of power systems. Therefore, it is essential to investigate the accommodation capacity for the wind farm in bulk power systems. In this paper an optimization algorithm of accommodation capacity for wind farm is proposed. This method is based on the static security constraints, such as voltage deviation and the line thermal stability. In order to find the optimal step size in the optimization algorithm, the sensitivity of voltage and branch trend are utilized. Finally, the proposed method is tested in a real power system in Jiangsu Province in the simulation platform of PSASP. The simulation results show that the method proposed in the paper is effective and feasible.
