Popis: | Infectious diseases devastate human society in terms of health and the world economy. Early detection and isolation of infected patients are crucial for preventing the spread of infections. To meet these needs, an infection screening system capable of noncontact measurement of vital signs (i.e., heart rate, respiration rate, and body temperature) using a RGB and thermal camera was developed. Evaluations demonstrated that the method improved the accuracy of measuring vital signs and discriminating between healthy and infected patients. Moreover, standalone infection screening systems can be connected to the Internet of Things, making it possible to share the vital data of infected patients in the Cloud to achieve the surveillance of infections. |
