Influence of 1, 10-phenanthroline on pathologic changes in liver of ethionine fed rats

Popis:	1, 10-phenanthroline injected subcutaneously three times per week (20 mg/kg b.w.) significantly influences early pathological changes in liver of ethionine-ingesting (0.3% dl-ethionine in food) rats. The ductular cell proliferation, temporary deposition of fat and fibrosis were almost suppressed. These changes were accompanied by normalization of DNA and collagen content in liver and seromucoid concentration in blood.
