Determining the Maximum Local Specific Absorption Rate of a Multiple-Antenna Transmitter Using K-Order Electric Field Models

Popis: In this paper, we propose a new estimation technique using K-order electric field models for evaluating the maximum local specific absorption rate (SAR) of a multiple-antenna transmitter. Details of the K-order models, estimation methods, and validations are presented and discussed. Thanks to the proposed K-order models, the estimation errors can be reduced significantly, compared to those of conventional techniques. For example, the maximum error in conventional SAR estimations of a three-antenna configuration is about 9%, which is decreased to 0.1% or 0.01% in the 2- and 3-order estimations, respectively.
