Popis: We have studied the texture of T1-weighted magnetic resonance (MR) images of 17 Primary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis (PPMS) and 19 Relapsing-Remitting (RRMS) patients in the both hemispheres of brains in caudate nucleus, centrum semiovale, mesencephalon and thalamus. Closely the same locations were also investigated with diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) methods, such as fractional anisotrophy (FA) and apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC). Our results suggest that several hemispherical differences can be found both in texture analysis and diffusion tensor imaging. Especially, RRMS patients seemed to have greater differences in the hemispheres than PPMS patients.
