Popis: | Image compression is very important for many applications that required an enormous amount data storage, transmission, and retrieval such as for endoscopic imaging. In order to save the wireless transmission power and bandwidth, an efficient hybrid discrete wavelet lifting transform based on the discrete cosine Cordie Loeffler is suggested in this paper. The proposed design is implemented on field programmable gate arrays and simulated using the Matlab language. The effectiveness of our proposal is justified over some endoscopic images. The suggested hybrid architecture needs only 488 additions and 256 shifts to carry out the hybrid coefficients. In addition, the experimental results show that our suggested hybrid DWT-DCT algorithm attains a higher compression ratio while preserving the visual Image quality in terms of PSNR. |
