Popis: Ultracon and Streak cameras are investigated to measure the synchrotron radiation produced in bends of the average power laser experiment (APLE). Synchrotron radiation is of interest since it is a possible low gamma, high power non-intercepting electron beam diagnostic concept. We estimate that synchrotron radiation should be useful for energies at or above 34 MeV with bend radii less than or equal to 0.8 m at peak currents of 450 A (using Streak cameras) and average currents of 230 mA (using Ultracon cameras). For these conditions the signals produced in Ultracon and Streak cameras will be above the 20 nA dark currents typical of these instrments.
