Popis: | A dual broadband antenna with circular polarization (CP) for small satellite application is proposed. A new slotted metasurface with dual band characteristic is introduced. Further, by perturbing the patch radiator with two slits, a dual band CP radiation is realized at 5 GHz and 5.9 GHz with a small frequency ratio of 1:1.18. The measured axial ratio bandwidths (ARBW) are 8.6% and 2.3% at lower and upper band, respectively. The measured gain is $6.3\pm 0.9\ \text{dBi}$ and $6.1\pm 0.6 \text{dBi}$ in the lower and upper band respectively. The measured results are consistent with the simulation results. |
