Popis: We have recently demonstrated the feasibility of vascular guided wave imaging (VGWI) in non-invasive estimation of bi-plane (i.e., longitudinal and transverse) transmural arterial Young's modulus (E L V, E T V) in tubular phantoms using phase velocity (c ph ) (Guo et al., ITEC 2016). In this study, we further compare the E T V estimated from the circumferential Lamb type (CLT) wave by VGWI with E T P from the pulse wave velocity (PWV) by pulse wave imaging (PWI), in vitro and ex vivo, to investigate the transverse stiffness estimation from two distinct propagating waves inside the artery.
