Popis:	An intensive monitoring was carried out during summer along a selected area of the Adriatic coast, located south of the Po River mouth. Water samples were examined for microorganisms, chlorophyll a content and salinity. Results showed microbial daily fluctuations related to rains, salinity and algal biomass. Bacteria and phages stratification and tide influence were also observed
