Multiple redox reactions and electrochromism of bilayer membranes of Prussian blue and Ru(bpy)32+

Popis: Redox reactions and electrochromism of bilayer membranes of Prussian blue (PB) and Nafion containing Ru(bpy)32+ coated on ITO electrodes were s scanning from −0.5 V to 1.5 V (saturated calomel electrode). For the ITO/PB/Nafion[Ru(bpy)32+] bilayer system, the cyclic voltammogram as wel (bpy)32+ depending on the applied potentials. However, for the ITO/Nafion[Ru(bpy)32+]/PB bilayer system, PB was not reduced on scanning oxidation of the ruthenium complex. Both the systems exhibited multielectrochromism.
