Popis:	Summary Isolated and innervated recta of rats and mice responded consistently to constant pelvic nerve stimulation. The effect of stimulation was potentiated by prostigmine and diminished by hexamethonium. Cholinergic nerve stimulation was partially resistant to atropine. The effect of noradrenaline and histamine was similar. The organs described could find use in pharmacological analyses.
