Popis: | 24th European Photovoltaic Solar Energy Conference, 21-25 September 2009, Hamburg, Germany; 1784-1787 Reducing fabrication costs is currently the main objective of the photovoltaic industry. This can be reached using silicon of lower quality known as Solar Grade silicon. One of the goals of this work is to experimentally demonstrate the potential of this material and to reach cell efficiencies above 15% on large area p-type mc-silicon wafers from 100% SoG silicon material. Subsequently, the improvement of the efficiency was investigated by enhancing the front side of the solar cells. Then, selective emitter structure by printing phosphorus paste was developed not only to reduce the front surface recombination velocity but also to enhance the short wavelength response of the solar cells. |
