Self-consistent phenomenological approach to interpretation of charge transport parameters’ behavior (conductivity σ, Hall coefficient RH and thermopower S) was successfully developed for the first time in the case of Ce-based intermetallides CeM2 (M—Al, Co, Ni, Ru, Rh, Ir). The analysis performed in a wide range of temperatures 10–300 K is based on the separation of various additive contributions in σ , σ S and σ 2 R H quantities. As a result, an adequate description of charge transport is achieved in the regime of strong on-site spin and charge fluctuations realizing in these strongly correlated electron systems. It is also shown that the estimated microscopic characteristics of charge carriers give evidence of temperature induced crossover between various transport regimes at T * ∼ 50 – 100 K . The anomalous behavior of these transport characteristics observed for Ce-based Laves phase compounds is discussed in terms of anisotropic f–d hybridization and formation of many-body states in vicinity of Ce-sites in CeM2 matrix. |
