Popis: Summary The bacteria associated with acute and chronic sinusitis are the same ones that have been recognized for decades. However, antimicrobial resistance among these bacteria has increased dramatically in recent years. The import of increased resistance to therapy of sinusitis has yet to be defined. With an increase in the number of immunocompromised patients, the list of microbes possibly associated with sinusitis has grown to include bacteria, viruses, fungi, mycobacteria, and even parasites.
