Popis: The packaging is one of the most crucial processes for pharma products. It plays a significant role in the safety of the product and the value addition of the product. The packaging industry is a continuously evolving sector with an endlessly increasing demand for high-speed packaging of various materials. Industries like pharmaceutical, personal care, and cosmetics use cylindrical-shaped products. The conventional method requires manual stacking of cylindrical-shaped products in a proper set with specified orientation as per the need of a pharmaceutical product. These stacked products are then fed in the feeder manually, which leads to the breakage of products as these are made of glass. This tedious and time-consuming packaging process leads to high labor costs and wastage of medicines. There is a need for an economical and reliable solution that emphasizes technical difficulties in the packaging line of pharma industries. Hence to avoid human intervention in packaging, an automated feeding system is required. This work presents the incorporation of an industrial robot in the operation line at a feeding station which is used for the handling of the product or pick and place operation. The end effector is designed to manage the large quantity of product which needs to be handled delicately.
