The causes of the anionic polymerization of isocyanates through NC bonds

Popis: In the light of quantum chemical analysis of HNCO and of the HNCO-pyridine complex, data were obtained by use of the extended Huckel method concerning charge distribution and electron populations of bonds in the NCO group and concerning charges in these variables in the course of complex formation. Causes of the anionic polymerization of isocyanates with NC bond opening and the formation of a polymide chain structure are discussed.
