Popis: Formulas exist for replacing an electric current J1 by an equivalent magnetic current K2, and conversely a K2 by an equivalent J3. The latter could therefore be expected to be equivalent to J1. The equivalence, if not handled carefully by “distributional” methods, leads to apparent paradoxes. The resolution of the paradox is based on the use of a formula for the curl of a surface current.
