Mastering the firing of firebrick in tunnel kilns at the east siberian refractories factory

Popis:	The East Siberian Refractories Factory has developed a firing cycle for tunnel kilns, 132 m in length, heated with mazut for firing standard firebrick containing Troshkov clays and imported chamotte. The method of warming up the kilns without temporary burners cuts the cost for bringing the kilns about and provides more uniform heating of the lining in the cooling zone. The results of operating the kilns show the advisability of using refractory concrete blocks for lining the low-temperature zones of the kilns and of blowing air into the control corridor.
